• 2003: Polykarbon artists came together in a collaborative fight club project called Escape from Ninja High School• 2006: Artists MamoruK (Peter Meindertsma) and Kagebu (Cody Savoie) are given permission from the rest of their collaborators to take the fight club and its characters and develop a webcomic• 2015: Peter approaches Cody with the opportunity to pitch the webcomic idea as an animated series, and it is reworked into foreWARD with co-writer, Morgan Lea• 2017: foreWARD releases its animatic pitch publicly• 2021: foreWARD starts to release its first volume as an audio drama• 2025: The audio drama exits production hell and concludes the first volume, and Morgan begins the process of archiving everything from the last two decades of work
